Job summary

MOG GROUP OF COMPANIES is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support our finance and accounting operations in Malaysia. The role emphasizes accuracy in financial records and daily bookkeeping.

You will handle AP/AR, invoicing, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and assist during audits, while maintaining filing and adhering to company policies. Suitable candidates have a diploma or degree in accounting and at least two years' experience, with strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily accounting operations, including data entry and bookkeeping
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and official receipts
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain proper documentation
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing
• Support audit and tax-related matters
• Maintain proper filing of accounting documents
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
