Job summary

Confidential Careers in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a finance professional to maintain the full financial reporting function, including IFRS-based management accounts, financial analysis, and tax compliance for group entities.

You will prepare management accounts for offshore group entities, assist with year-end audited statements, liaise with external parties, and ensure accuracy using accounting software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in finance roles (audit firm, international company, PE firm or financial institution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

The successful applicant will be part of the finance team that is responsible for maintaining the full financial reporting function from reviewing the books and records, financial reporting, financial analysis to tax compliance of the group entities.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of management accounts for offshore group entities based on IFRS, and liaison and working closely with external parties for tax preparation, statutory audits, banking matters, and other finance related transactions as needed.
• Perform financial analysis based on the requirement of management.
• Assist in the preparation of the year end audited financial statements and providing auditors with supporting information as required by management.
• Prepare and maintain the billings function for the finance team.
• Other tasks as delegated by the management.
• Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related discipline from a renowned university.
• Strong solid knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS).
• Minimum of 3-4 years of working experience in a finance function role from an accounting/audit firm, international corporate, private equity firm, or financial institution.

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English. Chinese language is a good to have but not mandatory.
