Job summary

ACCENTREX SDN BHD is seeking a mid-level Accountant in Malaysia to manage the full set of accounts, monthly closings and financial reporting. The role requires supervising a small accounting team, budgeting, cash flow analysis, and collaboration with regional stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong English and Chinese communication, and familiarity with Excel and SAP or other ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Experience in handling full set accounts, month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Experience in supervising or leading a small accounting team.
• Good knowledge of budgeting, cash flow and financial analysis.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Able to work independently with good attention to detail.
• Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken, for communication with regional stakeholders.
• ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial closing, including journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Assist in reviewing and improving accounting policies, procedures and finance processes.
• Review accounting workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Work closely with department heads, management and other stakeholders to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Maintain the chart of accounts, general ledger and financial records, and ensure transactions are properly classified and recorded.
• Ensure accounting procedures and company policies are followed and support improvements to internal controls.
• Prepare account analysis and variance analysis against budget.
• Supervise and guide the accounting team, review assigned work and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
