Job summary

About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team at Sea Tackle Sdn Bhd. In this full-time position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, you will play a key role in our financial accounting and reporting operations, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

What you'll be doing

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations

Handle salary administration (payroll) eg. manage employee pay, calculate deductions, prepare tax filings, and ensure compliance with labor laws

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders, such as auditors and tax authorities, to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial information

What we're looking for

A professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA or CPA

Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar financial accounting role, ideally within the retail or manufacturing industry

Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, procedures, and reporting standards

Proficient in the use of accounting software, SQL and MS Office applications, particularly Excel

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
