Job summary

Infinecs Systems Pvt. Ltd. in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an experienced Finance professional to manage the full Accounts Payable cycle and maintain the General Ledger using Autocount. You will also oversee tax compliance, including withholding tax, and coordinate grant submissions with internal stakeholders.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, a Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance, and strong communication, integrity and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a finance role.
• Proficiency with Autocount Accounting System is an added advantage; knowledge of WHT regulations is beneficial.
• Solid understanding of General Ledger (GL) functions and double-entry accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable, including PO issuance, invoice processing, expense verification, payment runs and vendor statement reconciliations.
• Maintain daily data entry and GL maintenance in Autocount; ensure depreciation tracking for Fixed Assets.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Handle withholding tax compliance and liaise with tax agents/auditors as needed.
• Coordinate grant submissions and track budgets vs actual spending with internal stakeholders.

Job description

1. Accounts Payable & General Ledger (GL)

• Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable, including issuing of Purchase order (PO), processing invoices, verifying expenses, preparing payment runs and reconciliation of vendor statements.
• Perform daily data entry and accurate General Ledger (GL) maintenance in the Autocount Accounting System.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure proper depreciation tracking.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

2. Tax Compliance

• Handle the preparation and submission of Withholding Tax (WHT) compliance with local regulations.
• Assist in liaise with tax agents and auditors regarding tax queries and statutory requirements.
• Ensure all financial documentation adheres to local tax regulations and company policies.
• Manage the end-to-end process of grant submissions, including preparing financial documentation and ensuring compliance with grantor requirements.
• Track grant budgets versus actual spending and flag variances to the management team.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary documentation for grant audits.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant working experience in a similar finance role.
• Technical Skills:
