About the role

ABT Corporate Advisory SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Account/Finance Intern to join our growing team in Kota Damansara, Selangor. This is a full-time internship position that offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in financial accounting and reporting within a professional corporate environment. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced finance professionals, contributing to day-to-day accounting operations whilst developing your understanding of financial processes, compliance requirements, and reporting standards. This role is instrumental in supporting our finance team's efficiency and will provide you with hands‑on exposure to real-world accounting practices.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ledgers, and accounting documents

Supporting the reconciliation of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

Helping to compile financial data and information for financial reports and statements

Performing data entry and verification tasks to ensure accuracy of financial information

Assisting with invoice processing, payment verification, and expense documentation

Supporting the preparation of journal entries and general ledger accounts under supervision

Helping to organize and file financial documents in accordance with company procedures

Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures as required

Providing administrative support to the finance team as needed

What we're looking for

Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications

Good understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices

Excellent organisational and time management abilities

Professional communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

Reliability and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving

Familiarity with accounting software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous

Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations would be beneficial
