Job summary

Worldwide Holdings Berhad is seeking an Accountant to manage full sets of accounts for subsidiary companies in the property sector, ensuring precise financial management. You will collaborate with SBUs and other departments to prepare budgets, generate timely financial reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts to support operations and decision-making, and liaise with external auditors for statutory audits.

Monitor PPE, investment properties and inventories, ensuring compliance with MFRS and tax

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant professional certification.
• At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in real estate.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts for subsidiary companies in the property sector.

Job description

• Handle full sets of accounts for subsidiary companies under the property sector, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.
• Collaborate with the respective Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and other departments in the preparation of budgets.
• Prepare timely financial reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts to support business operations and management decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors on statutory audits and the preparation of audited financial statements.
• Monitor the Company's property, plant and equipment (PPE), investment properties, and inventories.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and indirect tax requirements.
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables and accurate processing of payments.
• Ensure all accounting practices are in line with current standards and procedures, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant professional certification.
• At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in real estate industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, and accounting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations will be an added advantage.
