Job summary

Eqool Enviro Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team in Semenyih, Selangor. This full-time role focuses on managing client accounts, accurate financial record-keeping, and providing high-quality accounting support to a diverse client base.

You will maintain strong client relationships, process invoices and expenses, and contribute to tax compliance and overall efficiency of the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Experience as a bookkeeper or account executive in a small to medium practice accounting environment.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (SQL) and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial record-keeping.
• Attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
• Experience with Malaysian accounting practices and tax compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships whilst delivering exceptional bookkeeping and accounting services that drive the success of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for assigned client accounts.
• Process invoices, expenses and payables for clients, ensuring proper documentation.
• Provide timely and professional accounting support to clients, responding to queries and resolving issues efficiently.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date client files and accounting records in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
• Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation for accurate record-keeping.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and other compliance documentation as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the efficiency of the accounting function.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or account executive in a small to medium practice accounting environment.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (SQL) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounting practices and financial record-keeping.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors accurately.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Professional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently whilst being a collaborative team member.
• Reliability and integrity in handling confidential financial information.
• Relevant accounting qualification or certification (such as ACCA, MICPA or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Experience in Malaysian accounting practices and tax compliance is preferred.
