Job summary

Oriental Sheet Piling Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a detail‑oriented finance professional to manage the full accounting cycle. You will prepare management accounts, produce reports for senior management, and perform month‑end close to meet deadlines.

You will handle statutory compliance, GST submissions, year‑end audit support, and cash flow management in collaboration with the Finance Manager. A Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance with at least three years of experience is required, and

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and reporting.
• Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Able to communicate with different levels of personnel.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full set of management accounts and management reports for submission to management.
• Perform month end closing and meet reporting deadlines; compare actual to budget/forecast.
• Ensure statutory compliance and timely GST filings; prepare year‑end statutory audit support.
• Manage cash flow and assist Treasury with bank balances, forex, and borrowings.

Company: Oriental Sheet Piling Sdn Bhd

Responsibilities

• Prepare full set of management accounts;
• Prepare management reports for submission to management alongside Finance Manager and Financial Controller;
  a) Perform month end closing of accounts and meet reporting deadlines
  b) Participate in preparation of quarterly budgets, forecasts, monthly estimates and accounting reports
  c) Actual performance figures comparison against budget and forecast
• Statutory compliance and documentation;
  a) Income/ Indirect taxes filed on time
  b) Statutory financial statements filed on time
  c) Documentation submitted as per internal and legal requirements
  d) Safekeep documents following company's internal 5S procedure
• Processing and submission of monthly GST;
• Prepare year-end statutory audit and compliances;
• Cash flow management;
  a) Ensure payment made on time
  b) Prepare weekly submissions for Treasury Department to follow up; cash flow report and FOREX exposure report
  c) Support Treasury Department in managing bank balances and borrowing to optimise interest income and expense levels
• Any related finance reporting and analysis.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor Degree in Accounting/ Finance, professional qualification or equivalent;
• Able to communicate with different level of personnel;
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position;
• Strong accounting knowledge and familiar with latest accounting standards and reporting requirements;
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel;
• Meticulous and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
