Job summary

You Teck Frozen Food Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Kuala Lumpur to manage the full set of accounts and financial operations. You will handle GL, AR, AP, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing, ensuring accuracy and compliance across statutory requirements.

The role includes tax submissions, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and coordinating year-end audit with external auditors. Strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised accounting qualification (degree or diploma).
• Experience handling full set of accounts including GL, AR, AP, and reconciliations.
• Familiar with Malaysian accounting standards and tax rules.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounts including General Ledger, AR, AP, and bank reconciliation.
• Receive, review, and match supplier invoices against PO and contract.
• Prepare payment vouchers, bank batches, and EFTs with accurate tracking of credit terms.
• Perform monthly vendor reconciliations and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Handle cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting with regular reporting.
• Oversee tax computation and submissions; liaise with tax authorities.
• Coordinate year-end audit and ensure schedules and documents are prepared.
• Ensure compliance with local standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Review and verify journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules.
• Monitor and improve internal control processes for accuracy and efficiency.

Job description

This role involves managing a full set of accounts and financial operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Bank Reconciliation. You will prepare and analyze financial statements, perform financial and variance analysis, manage cash flow and budgeting, oversee tax matters, and coordinate year-end audits. The role requires ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements while liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

Manage the full set of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Bank Reconciliation

Receive, review, and match supplier invoices against PO and contract

Prepare payment vouchers, bank batches, and electronic fund transfers while tracking credit terms.

Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliations and resolve billing discrepancies

Handle cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting, with regular monitoring and reporting

Oversee tax computation, tax submission, and liaise with tax authorities on related matters

Coordinate and support year-end audit, ensuring all schedules and supporting documents are prepared accurately

Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies

Review and verify journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules

Monitor and improve internal control processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency

About you

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in handling full set of accounts

Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory regulations

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., AutoCount) and MS Excel

Strong communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Independent, proactive, and resourceful with strong problem-solving abilities
