Master Additives is seeking an Account Executive to join the accounting team in Port Klang, Selangor. As Account Executive, you will be the primary point of contact for valued clients, managing their accounting needs whilst building strong, long-term business relationships. This role is instrumental in ensuring client satisfaction and driving business growth through exceptional service delivery and professional expertise, supporting clients with comprehensive bookkeeping and small practice accounting services.
Support the Manager, Finance & Accounting in overseeing daily accounting operations and resolving finance/accounting matters
Handle full set accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, accruals, prepayments, and month-end schedules
Handle accounting entries and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately, completely, and on a timely basis
Handle data integration between operating and accounting systems and perform reconciliation as required
Monitor accounts receivables, collection progress, customer aging, and follow-up actions with the relevant team
Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules for Malaysia reporting requirements
Prepare cash flow analysis, bank reconciliation, and cash flow projections to support management review
Assist in annual budget and forecast preparation, including variance analysis and supporting schedules
Assist with tax compliance matters, including SST, WHT, corporate tax filing, e-invoicing, and other regulatory submissions
Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to full set accounts, month-end closing, audit, tax, and reporting
Good knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, SST, WHT, corporate tax, and basic internal control requirements
Experience with SQL Accounting System, Microsoft Excel, and e-invoicing
Hands-on, proactive, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimum supervision
Able to meet tight deadlines, especially during month-end closing and reporting periods
Strong ownership and accountability in handling finance matters
Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow up until matters are resolved
Able to support both operational and reporting requirements in a fast-moving environment
Able to work with other teams such as Purchasing, Sales, Shipping and Productions
