Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant working experience, preferably in accounting, finance, or data/reporting roles.
• Hands-on experience with SQL-based systems.
• Good understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin and English (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders).
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
• Independent, responsible, and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and finance operations, including data entry, invoices, payment processing, and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial and operational reports using SQL-based systems and company reporting tools.
• Monitor account transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal postings and account reconciliations.
• Support management with ad-hoc analysis and reports for decision-making.
• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and Chinese-speaking clients to resolve billing or payment issues.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing for all accounting records.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Account Executive (Mandarin Speaking) to join our team in Cheras Balakong. You will be responsible for handling day-to-day account operations, preparing reports using SQL-based systems, and supporting management in making data-driven decisions. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, organised, and enjoys working with numbers and systems.

You will work closely with internal teams and Chinese-speaking clients, so the ability to communicate in Mandarin/Chinese is important.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare financial and operational reports using SQL-based systems and company reporting tools.
