Job summary

Sunray Construction & Interior Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Executive in Malaysia to manage the full spectrum of accounting duties for our entities. You will record and process business transactions using UBS Accounting System, prepare financial statements, and maintain general ledgers and fixed assets.

Requirements include a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or related field and at least 5 years of hands‑on experience in full‑spectrum accounting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant hands‑on experience in full-spectrum accounting or similar capacity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Experience in Construction industry will be an added advantage.
• Mandarin speaker preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle full spectrum of accounting duties for the assigned entities.
• Record and process business transactions and events relating to sales, purchases, receivables, payables, cash, inventory, accruals, prepayments, capital structure and finance costs in the accounting system.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements within specified timelines.
• Prepare and maintain general ledgers and fixed asset/comitment listings.
• Prepare monthly sales reports and accounts receivable, and reconcile bank statements.
• Carry out intercompany reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Liaise with auditors on audits and provide account information for tax purposes.
• Assist in checking and rectifying project costs and ensure proper cost allocation to project accounts.

Job description

Looking for Account Executive with experience handling full set account and UBS Accounting System.

Primary Duties

Responsible for the full spectrum of accounting duties for the entities as assigned.

Record and process all business transactions and events relating to sales, purchases, receivables, payables, cash, inventory, accruals, prepayments, capital structure and finance costs within the organisation's accounting system.

Assists in the preparation of financial statements within specific timelines.

Responsible for preparation and maintenance of general ledgers.

Updates, maintains and reports on fixed asset and commitment listing.

Preparation of monthly sales reports and accounts receivables.

Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations and statement of accounts.

Carries out intercompany reconciliation in a timely manner.

Assists in liaising with auditor on audits and provides account information for tax purposes.

Assist in checking and rectifying the project costs of projects and ensures costs allocation to respective project accounts.

Updates and maintains accounts payable file.

Updates and maintains deposit, subcontractor retention files.

Other duties related to the role may be assigned.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or equivalent

At least 5 years of relevant hands‑on experience in full-spectrum accounting or similar capacity

Proficient in Microsoft Office and exprience in accounting software

Experience in Construction industry will be an added advantage

Mandarin speaker preferred (required to communicate with mandarin speaking clients and vendors)

Attention to detail to ensure high accuracy and meticulous in handling financial data

Proactiveness and effective time management to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
