Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a finance professional to manage full set of accounts, monthly close, and compliance with MFRS and tax regulations. You will liaise with auditors, regulators, and internal teams to improve controls and drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, 2+ years of relevant experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and proven ability to work independently while collaborating in a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Knowledge of full set accounting is essential.
• Audit experience is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Malaysian tax regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SQL systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Meticulous, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records and journal entries.
• Perform monthly financial closing.
• Maintain full set of accounts, including account reconciliations and financial schedules.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities when required.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Participate in finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
