Job summary

Khin Guan Corporation Sdn Bhd (Johor) is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team in Johor Bahru. The role focuses on accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

You will reconcile supplier statements, ensure proper coding, and uphold internal controls while coordinating with purchasing and operations to resolve issues. Ideal candidates bring attention to detail, good communication, and a proactive approach to record keeping

Responsibilities

• Invoice processing with verification for accuracy and proper authorization.
• Schedule and process vendor payments by checks or electronic transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and AP ledgers, resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records, vouchers, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve payment issues.
• Assist with financial reports, monitor AP aging, and comply with policies.
• Issue Purchase Orders per Purchasing department requirements and pay accordingly.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Receive, log, and verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate authorization, and correct coding.
• Payment Management: Schedule and process payments (checks, electronic transfers) to vendors, ensuring timely disbursement and avoiding late fees.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable ledgers, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate historical records, voucher copies, and supporting financial documentation.
• Vendor Communication: Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve payment issues and inquiries.
• Reporting & Compliance: Assist with financial reports, monitor accounts payable aging, and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulations.
• Purchasing: Issue Purchase Orders according to Purchasing departments' requirement and make payment accordingly.
