About the role

We are seeking an Account Assistant to join the finance team at NASMIR FROZEN SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Perai, Penang.

Processing and recording financial transactions in the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner

Preparing and reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts

Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment verification

Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements under the supervision of senior accounting staff

Maintaining proper documentation and filing systems for all financial records

Performing data entry tasks and ensuring accuracy of financial information

Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures

Supporting internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and information

Responding to routine accounting inquiries and resolving discrepancies in financial records

What we’re looking for

A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification

Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
