Job summary

FORTUNE VALLEY SDN. BHD. in Negeri Sembilan is seeking an Account Assistant to support the accounts payable function. You will review invoices, code expenses, and process supplier payments in a timely manner.

The role requires attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge, and experience with reconciliations; you will maintain filing of paid accounts and assist with month-end close as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience handling supplier invoices and payments.
• Familiarity with reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure invoices are approved and signed prior to AP processing.
• Code invoices to GL accounts and supplier numbers.
• Process supplier payments and submit vouchers.
• Reconcile creditors’ accounts monthly and liaise with suppliers.
• Maintain filing system for paid accounts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Ascertains that all appropriate signatures of approval appear on the invoices prior to processing in the Accounts Payable system.
• Codes each invoice with the appropriate general ledger expense account numbers and supplier number and inputs into A/R system.
• Processes payments to suppliers according to procedure and submits payment voucher with supporting documentation to Financial Controller for signature.
• Reconciles all creditors’ accounts on a monthly basis and liaises with suppliers to resolve all discrepancies.
• Maintains accurate and up to date filing system on paid accounts
• Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
