Job summary

Melinau Auto Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Accounts Assistant to handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and claims processing, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

The role involves posting financial data, reconciling records, liaising with branches, and assisting in budgeting and financial summaries for management. Fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is preferred for effective communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in accounting or related field.
• Experience in AP/AR and claims processes preferred.
• Good communication in English, BM and Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable tasks with accuracy.
• Reconcile invoices and monitor payments to suppliers.
• Process claims and ensure compliance with guidelines.

Job description

Account Payable – To do/oversee all the tasks related to Account Payable (AP), including monitoring AP payments, liaise with suppliers, reconciliation and etc.

Account Receivable – To do/oversee all the tasks related to account receivable, including reports, email aging reports to branches/department, follow up payment from customer/branches/department, issue reminder letter, etc.

Claims – To check claims and monitor reimbursement/payments. Ensuring the invoices claimed are follow the e-invoice guideline.

To regularly update and reconcile fixed assets for capitalization records upon receipt from operations, while also closely monitoring budget.

To post financial data into accounting software and ensure its accuracy and completeness.

To proper proper filing on all related documents.

To liaise with branches when assistance or queries needed.

To support with various accounting tasks as needed, such as preparing financial reports and summaries for management.

Any other works and duties as required and assigned by the company from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma in Accounting/ CAT/ LCCI or equivalent

At least 2 years working experience in similar job

English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
