Job summary

SKUD Technical Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Accounts Support to assist day-to-day accounting tasks within the team. You will learn and work on claims processing, payables, receivables, and project records with guidance from the Senior Accounts Executive.

The role involves processing staff claims, entering supplier and customer invoices, and supporting bank reconciliations and month-end closing. Training and exposure to full accounting functions are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in AP, AR or claims processing is an advantage.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident communicating documentation with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Process staff claims and expenses in SQL Account and record costs against project codes.
• Key in supplier invoices, match with purchase orders, and prepare payment listings.
• Key in customer invoices, receipts and credit notes; update payment records and statements.
• Assist with bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
• File and maintain accounting documents.

Skud Technical is Malaysia's only NEBB-certified firm for both air balancing (TAB) and cleanroom testing (CPT). We serve data centres, semiconductor plants, pharmaceutical facilities, hospitals and commercial buildings, with offices in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Penang.

The Role

You will report to our Senior Accounts Executive and work closely with the accounts team, supporting day-to-day accounting work including claims, payables, receivables and project-related records. You will receive guidance and on-the-job training throughout.

What You Will Do

• Claims and Expenses
  • Process staff claims and expenses in SQL Account
  • Record costs against the correct project codes
  • Ensure claims are complete with supporting documents
  • Prepare cost reports as required
• Accounts Payable
  • Key in supplier invoices and match them with purchase orders
  • Prepare payment listings for approval
  • Keep supplier records and statements up to date
• Accounts Receivable
  • Key in customer invoices, receipts and credit notes
  • Update customer payment records and prepare statements
  • Assist with follow-up on outstanding payments
• General
  • File and maintain accounting documents
  • Assist with bank reconciliation and month-end closing
  • Other accounts tasks as assigned

Requirements

• SPM, Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or related field
• Experience in AP, AR or claims processing is an advantage
• Experience with SQL Account is a strong advantage
• Good with Microsoft Excel
• Very careful and detail-oriented
• Confident communicating with colleagues on documentation
