Job summary

Wear Safe (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (WSM) is seeking an Account Assistant to support our finance team in Penang. You will process supplier invoices, perform 3-way matching, and keep accurate AP records in our ERP system.

The role involves monthly supplier reconciliations, tracking accruals and prepayments, and assisting with year-end closing. Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years' experience in manufacturing is a plus. Proficiency in Excel and SAP is required.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices applying 3-way matching (invoice, PO, delivery note).
• Prepare monthly supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor ageing report to ensure timely settlements of obligations.
• Maintain accurate AP records in ERP system and in physical filing.
• Update accruals and prepayments for monthly and year-end closing.
• Prepare statutory reports (SST02A, SST02, A55) and tax exemption documents.
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents as required.

Job description

Process and verify supplier invoices to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies, and proper approvals, applying the 3 way matching concept (invoice, purchase order, delivery note)

Prepare monthly supplier reconciliations to confirm balances and resolve discrepancies promptly

Monitor ageing report to ensure timely settlement of obligations

Maintain accurate AP records in the accounting system and through proper hard copy documentation and filing

Perform daily accounting operations and tasks in accordance with accounting standards

Update and maintain accruals and prepayments schedules for accurate monthly and year end closing

Prepare and submit statutory reports including SST02A, SST02, and tax exemption applications (A55)

Prepare documents for application and submit supporting documents for Former Disposal

Liaise with auditors and tax agents when necessary by providing required documentation and information

Perform any other ad-hoc assignment as and when required

Job Requirement:

Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry, will be an added advantage

In year 2007, WSM was relocated to new plant at Jalan Meru, Klang with a centralized sterile packing location and enhanced production lines of a capacity of 8 million pairs of surgical gloves per month.

With a growing market demand, KOSSAN has invested another WSM plant in Jalan Meru in year 2013. The plant was commissioned with 9 new production lines with a monthly capacity of more than 31.5 million pairs of surgical gloves . The plant has obtained ISO 9001:2008, EN ISO 13485:2012 Quality Management System (QMS) and CMDR and ISO Class 8 in 2013.
