MAHSA University invites applications for Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer or Clinical Instructors in Nursing across Midwifery, Renal, Paediatric, Public Health and Gerontology. The successful candidate will teach, supervise, and contribute to curriculum development while advancing research within the School of Nursing.

Candidates should hold a PhD in Nursing with a Master in Nursing, be registered nurses in Malaysia, and have strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualificações

• PhD in Nursing or related field is required.
• Master in Nursing or related field is required.
• Registered Nurse with valid professional registration in Malaysia.
• Post Basic qualification in a relevant nursing specialty is an added advantage.
• Relevant teaching, clinical, and/or academic experience in nursing education.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, deliver, and assess teaching and learning materials for nursing subjects according to qualifications and area.
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and improve curriculum, course content, teaching methodologies, and assessment tools.
• Supervise and/or co-supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research proposals, projects, dissertations, and theses.
• Maintain and develop subject matter and clinical expertise, including participation in relevant clinical practice where required.
• Collaborate with academic and clinical staff to ensure effective delivery of teaching and learning activities.
• Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and pastoral support to students, including monitoring attendance and progress.

We are seeking qualified, dedicated, and passionate nursing professionals to join our School of Nursing as Professor/ Associate Professor/ Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer or Clinical Instructors accros following areas :

Midwifery

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, deliver, and assess teaching and learning materials for nursing subjects according to the candidate’s qualifications, expertise, and assigned teaching areas.

Plan, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve curriculum, course content, teaching methodologies, and assessment tools.

Supervise and/or co-supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research proposals, projects, dissertations, and theses.

Maintain and continuously develop subject matter and clinical expertise, including participation in relevant clinical practice where required under the guidance of the Head of School and/or Dean.

Collaborate with academic and clinical staff to ensure effective delivery of teaching and learning activities.

Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and pastoral support to students, including monitoring attendance, academic progress, and providing remedial support where necessary.

Develop and maintain positive professional relationships within the faculty and with healthcare providers, professional bodies, and relevant external agencies.

Undertake administrative duties related to student admissions, assessments, academic progress, achievement, and attendance.

Contribute to university, faculty, and school initiatives in alignment with institutional strategic development plans.

Actively engage in research, scholarly activities, publications, conferences, and knowledge exchange activities to enhance the academic reputation of the School and University.

Contribute to research grant applications and collaborative research initiatives where applicable.

Undertake other academic, administrative, and representative duties as assigned by the Head of School and/or Dean.

Participate in external committees, working groups, professional activities, community engagement, and corporate social responsibility initiatives where appropriate.

Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness, research capabilities, and academic growth.

Be willing to travel and represent the faculty at meetings, conferences, events, and other assignments within Malaysia or overseas when required.

Support occasional weekend activities, including marketing, student recruitment, open days, and student engagement programmes.

Adopt flexible teaching and working arrangements, including online, blended, open, and distance learning delivery where required.

Requirements

PhD in Nursing or a related field is required.

Minimum Master in Nursing or a related field.

Registered Nurse with valid professional registration in Malaysia.

Possession of a Post Basic qualification in a relevant nursing specialty will be an added advantage.

Relevant teaching, clinical, and/or academic experience in nursing education.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.

Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and student engagement skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within an academic environment.

Experience in curriculum development, postgraduate supervision, research, and academic publication is highly desirable.

A strong publication and research track record will be an advantage, particularly for appointment at senior lecturer level.
