Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is recruiting for a Tooling Manager role in Malaysia. The company is a precision engineering manufacturer with extensive tooling experience and a regional footprint, seeking to consolidate production through effective tooling management.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years leading tooling teams, will negotiate with suppliers, manage tooling projects, and drive cost reduction initiatives while ensuring projects stay on budget and meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in Tooling department.
• Effectively negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms.
• Strong project management skills to oversee tooling projects and ensure they stay within budget.
• Good communication, leadership and people-management.
• Self-motivated, result-oriented and able to multi task under pressure and change.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all records on toolings utilization, inventory and related reports are updated in the QAD system.
• Work closely with production managers, engineers and other PIC to understand tooling requirements and constraints.
• Assigning jobs to Toolmakers and ensuring full support on production needs to meet the Planner schedule.
• Analyze existing tooling processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Participate and contribute in cost reduction and productivity programs.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for tooling department and ensure costs are accurately estimated and controlled.
• Ensure all purchased products conform to specified purchased requirements.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and regularly compare costs from different vendors.

Job Description

• Ensure all records on tooling's utilization, inventory and other related report are updated and proper update of the QADsystem
• Work closely with production managers, engineers and other PIC to understand tooling requirements and constraints.
