Job summary

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres in Malaysia is seeking an Operations Lead to manage a team of 24x7 specialists and ensure the in-country data centre maintains 100% availability. You will oversee building systems and compliance with SLAs, audits, and STT GDC policies to deliver reliable service.

Key duties include scheduling, training, incident escalation, vendor management, and continual SOP improvements to uphold performance and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in related Engineering fields.
• Certified practitioner of ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, CDCP or equivalent.
• Possess a valid B0 Chargeman (11kV) certification.
• At least 3 years of working experience in 24x7 operations and leading a team.
• Good knowledge in M&E, Network CI, DC facilities related systems.
• Willing to lead major data centre activities during non-office hours.
• Familiar with local codes and mandatory facility certifications (fire codes, lift licensing).
• Facilities management and/or data centre certifications (ITIL, CDCP, CDCS).
• Familiar with LEED Gold, ISO 20000/22301/27001, Uptime Institute Tier III standards.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises a team of 24x7 specialists, including training and duty roster planning.
• Oversees building systems and critical facilities equipment for the data centre.
• Plans and supervises operations and maintenance programs for the facilities environment.
• Acts as Level 2 escalation point for onsite incidents and SLA compliance.
• Manages internal ticketing, change and incident requests.
• Manages contractor and vendor SOPs, PTW, risk assessments and safety.
• Performs root cause analysis and supports audits, SOPs and SOP improvements.
• Manages access control, CCTV, visitor systems and asset inventory.
