About the role:

We’re looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our engineering team on a freelance basis. You’ll work autonomously on key backend integrations, collaborating closely with tech leads on projects involving financial and crypto partners.

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience withKotlin,Java, or otherJVM-based languages.
• Proficiency withSpring Bootand backend system architecture.
• Solid understanding ofsoftware engineering principlesand best practices.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to overlap at least80% of your time with US Mountain Standard Time (MST).

• Startup experience inregulated or correctness-critical industries(e.g., fintech, healthcare, banking, airlines).
• Familiarity withcrypto/financial partner integrations.
