Cognizant is seeking an automation engineer with strong Core Java/Advanced Java knowledge and hands-on Spring Boot expertise. You will implement REST Assured-based API tests and manage automation with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid work setting.

Ideal candidates have experience designing scalable automation frameworks, executing tests across functional areas, and collaborating with developers and product owners to ensure high quality releases.

Formación

• Strong knowledge of Core Java and Advanced Java is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Design scalable and maintainable Selenium-based automation frameworks aligned with enterprise quality standards.
• Develop comprehensive automated test suites covering functional regression, integration, and smoke tests.
• Execute and monitor automated test runs in a day-shift hybrid model, analyze failures, and report defects clearly.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers to refine acceptance criteria and quality gates.
• Optimize test execution strategies by reducing redundancy, improving test data management, and tuning automation for faster feedback.
• Ensure robust test environment configuration and validation so automation results reflect real-world usage.
• Perform root-cause analysis of defects and translate findings into actionable improvements in code, scripts and processes.
• Create documentation for automation frameworks, test strategies, and execution guidelines to enable onboarding and collaboration.
• Drive continuous quality improvements by evaluating new tools and practices in Selenium automation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define measurable quality metrics and use them to guide ongoing improvements.

Experience in the travel domain will be an added advantage.

• Collaborate closely with developers product owners and other quality engineers to refine acceptance criteria testability and quality gates leading to predictable delivery outcomes.
• Optimize test execution strategies by reducing redundant cases improving test data management and tuning automation for faster feedback cycles and better resource utilization.
• Implement robust practices for test environment configuration and validation ensuring that automation results accurately reflect real world user behavior and usage patterns.
• Conduct detailed root cause analysis of identified defects and quality gaps translating findings into actionable improvements in code automation scripts and test processes.
• Create clear documentation for automation frameworks test strategies and execution guidelines enabling smooth onboarding of new team members and consistent cross team collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality engineering by evaluating new tools techniques and practices around Selenium automation and integrating those that provide tangible benefits.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define measurable quality metrics such as defect escape rate and automation coverage using these metrics to guide ongoing improvement initiatives.
