Wesco is seeking a Supervisor - Operations to oversee one or more warehouse departments, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, with a focus on meeting customer requirements.

You will train, coach, and counsel associates, manage direct reports, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards. This role reports to the Manager/ Senior Manager Operations and drives process improvements.

Formación

• High School Degree or Equivalent required or as stated.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 3 years warehouse and distribution operations experience.
• 1 year experience leading warehouse associates.
• Ability to operate forklift or obtain certification.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control processes.
• Knowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical products.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and use business planning systems.
• Resolve problems in a timely manner under stress.
• Team oriented environment.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to anticipate and prepare for customer needs.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate employee work assignments to meet inbound and outbound service requirements.
• Direct achievement of performance objectives related to productivity, quality, service, and safety.
• Monitor workflow and metrics; take corrective action when needed.
• Ensure procedures are observed, implemented, and enforced.
• Confirm quality and inspection processes; eliminate excess costs.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety regulations.
• Keep accurate time, attendance, and performance records.
• Maintain positive employee relations and morale; support performance actions.
• Assist in developing and documenting warehouse processes.
• Set and monitor performance standards for warehouse functions (pick, pack, ship).
• Process returned merchandise efficiently.
• Develop and monitor standards for equipment and housekeeping.
