SoftwareOne is seeking a VMware Platform Analyst to support and enhance VMware environments, Windows servers, and storage solutions. You will contribute to reliability, security, and performance while participating in improvement initiatives.

The Infrastructure and Platforms team collaborates with global IT groups, offering a hybrid work model and opportunities to adopt new technologies.

Formación

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server including AD/DNS/DHCP.
• Experience managing VMware virtualization platforms and knowledge of Hyper-V environments.
• Understanding of enterprise storage technologies NAS/SAN/RAID.
• Ability to automate tasks with PowerShell.
• Basic English proficiency to collaborate in a global environment.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and optimize VMware platforms and Windows Server environments for stability and availability.
• Configure and support NAS and SAN storage solutions for performance and capacity management.
• Monitor infrastructure and identify improvement opportunities while mitigating risks.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across servers, storage, and virtualized environments.
• Implement security controls, backups, and access management for critical systems.

The role

VMware Platform Analyst

Are you passionate about working with virtualized environments that support critical business operations? Do you enjoy optimizing technology infrastructure to ensure stability, availability, and security? Are you motivated by collaborating with different teams to drive continuous improvement and adopt new technologies?

As part of our Infrastructure and Platforms team, you will help support and enhance VMware environments, Windows servers, and storage solutions. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's technology infrastructure while participating in improvement initiatives and innovation projects.

How a day to day would look like in this role:

• Manage and optimize VMware platforms and Windows Server environments to ensure service stability and availability.
• Configure and support NAS and SAN storage solutions, ensuring optimal performance and capacity management.
• Monitor technology infrastructure, identifying improvement opportunities and mitigating operational risks.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities across servers, storage platforms, and virtualized environments.
• Implement security controls, backup processes, and access management practices to protect critical systems and information.
• Provide advanced support and collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents and technical issues.

What we need to see from you

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience managing VMware virtualization platforms and knowledge of Hyper-V environments.
• Understanding of enterprise storage technologies, including NAS, SAN, and RAID.
• Ability to automate administrative tasks and processes using PowerShell.
• Basic English proficiency to understand technical documentation and collaborate in a global environment.
