Job summary

QUALCOMM SEMICONDUCTORES Y SISTEMAS AVANZADOS DE BAJA CALIFORNIA in Tijuana seeks a VLSI Software Engineer to develop and maintain internal tools for floorplanning, RTL modules placement and datapath routing. You will work closely with Snapdragon PDN teams and CAD domain experts to optimize design flows.

The role requires Python or C++ coding experience and CAD development skills, with exposure to web GUI development and AI-assisted tooling in a cutting-edge semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or related field.
• 1–4 years of software development experience; Python preferred.
• Experience with CAD-based design tools and RTL flows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal software for top-level chip floorplanning and RTL modules placement.
• Improve datapath routing and timing optimization within design flows.
• Add features to internal tools, including GUI web apps and parsers.
• Follow CI/CD practices, write tests, and document code.
• Collaborate with Snapdragon PDN, CAD domain experts, and project leads.
