QUALCOMM SEMICONDUCTORES Y SISTEMAS AVANZADOS DE BAJA CALIFORNIA in Tijuana, Mexico, seeks a Support Engineer to assist engineering teams in using CAD tools and flows developed by Qualcomm’s frontend CAD. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive documentation, providing support to internal teams, and ensuring the efficiency and reliability of automation processes.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Familiar with Linux operating system
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, GNU Make
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Plus: Knowledge in VLSI design and verification, and EDA tools.

Responsabilidades

• Apply engineering principles to develop and optimize CAD tools and flows to enhance productivity, efficiency, and results.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation processes and tools.
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams on CAD automation tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in automation processes.
• Coordinate issues and initiatives with HW, SW, IT, and EDA engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Conduct self-guided research and participate in periodic training to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and incorporating new methods into daily work.
• Propose and execute innovative solutions to complex problems, contributing to the continuous improvement of our CAD automation capabilities.
