Job summary

EDAG is seeking a VEHICLE TEST PLANNING ENGINEER in Puebla, Mexico. You will plan and implement test plans for automotive EV projects, define test cases, monitor testing activities, and report on progress and risks. Requires 1 year automotive experience, EV system knowledge, and travel availability.

A 6-month contract basis is offered, with English B2 and German A2 desirable. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering and are ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics or related.
• 1 year of experience in the automotive industry, including prototype testing.
• Knowledge of the general operation and architecture of electric vehicles (EVs).
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems, including infotainment, lighting, ADAS, and EV battery systems.
• Knowledge of vehicle development, build, and testing phases (preferred).
• English B2 (Advanced); German A2 (desirable).
• 6 months contract; availability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement test plans based on technical requirements.

• Perform test analysis based on conditions and risk levels of test execution.
• Define test procedures, testware, manuals, scripts, test data, environments, logs and defect reports.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to define testing needs, expectations and objectives.

DESCRIPTION

• Plan and implement test plans based on technical requirements.
• Define and create test cases fon vehicle functions.
• Monitor and control testing activities, including reporting on test progress, risks, and related metrics.
• Perform test analysis based on specific conditions, considering the risk levels associated with test plan execution.
• Define test procedures, testware, manual and automated test scripts, test suites, test data collection, test environments, test logs, and defect reports for test objects.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to define testing needs, expectations, requirements, and objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor´s degree inElectrics engineering, Industrial engineering, Mechanicalengineering, Mechatronics engineering or related.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the automotive industry, including prototype testing
• Knowledge of the general operation and architecture of electric vehicles (EVs).
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems, specifically infotainment systems, lighting systems, driver assistance systems (ADAS), and electric vehicle battery systems.
• Knowledge of the different vehicle development, build, and testing phases (preferred).
• English B2(Advanced)
