Job summary

EDAG Engineering GmbH in Puebla, Mexico, seeks a Vehicle Test Planning Engineer to drive test strategy for EV milestones and ensure cross-domain coverage. You will plan tests, define cases, and monitor progress across the vehicle stack.

The role requires English at B2 level with German a plus; a 6-month contract and travel availability are included. You will collaborate with engineering teams to optimize test processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the automotive industry, including prototype testing.
• Knowledge of the general operation and architecture of electric vehicles (EVs).
• Knowledge of vehicle systems: infotainment, lighting, ADAS, and EV battery systems.
• Understanding of vehicle development, build, and testing phases (preferred).
• Availability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement test plans based on technical requirements.

• Perform test analysis considering risk levels for test plan execution.

DESCRIPTION

• Plan and implement test plans based on technical requirements.
• Define and create test cases fon vehicle functions.
• Monitor and control testing activities, including reporting on test progress, risks, and related metrics.
• Perform test analysis based on specific conditions, considering the risk levels associated with test plan execution.
• Define test procedures, testware, manual and automated test scripts, test suites, test data collection, test environments, test logs, and defect reports for test objects.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to define testing needs, expectations, requirements, and objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor´s degree inElectrics engineering, Industrial engineering, Mechanicalengineering, Mechatronics engineering or related.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the automotive industry, including prototype testing
• Knowledge of the general operation and architecture of electric vehicles (EVs).
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems, specifically infotainment systems, lighting systems, driver assistance systems (ADAS), and electric vehicle battery systems.
• Knowledge of the different vehicle development, build, and testing phases (preferred).
• English B2(Advanced)
