Teacheroo in Mexico seeks a dedicated Literature teacher to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Literature lessons aligned with the school curriculum, developing students' reading, writing, literary analysis, and critical thinking.

You will guide interpretation of texts across genres and cultures, encourage thoughtful discussion and independent thinking, provide timely feedback, create an inclusive classroom, integrate technology, and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Literature, English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification is desirable.
  • Master's degree in Education, Literature, or a related field is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of English (preferred for bilingual environments).

Responsabilidades

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Literature lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
  • Develop students' reading, writing, literary analysis, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Guide students in the analysis and interpretation of literary texts across genres, authors, cultures, and historical contexts.
  • Encourage thoughtful discussion, independent thinking, and personal responses to literary works.
  • Develop students' ability to construct well-supported arguments and communicate ideas effectively in written and oral form.
  • Design and implement assessments to evaluate student progress and achievement.
  • Provide timely, constructive, and meaningful feedback to students.
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into the classroom.
  • Promote students' appreciation of literature, language, and diverse perspectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, school initiatives, and interdisciplinary projects.
  • Monitor and support students' academic progress and overall development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and assessments.

Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Literature or a related subject at secondary or high school level.
  • Experience in curriculum planning and competency-based assessment.
  • Experience teaching literary analysis, critical reading, and academic writing.
  • Experience in bilingual or international school settings is desirable.
