A leading chocolate and cocoa manufacturer is seeking a Temporary Operations Coordinator to oversee logistics and transportation processes. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Operations or Business, and at least a year of relevant experience in transportation and distribution. Responsibilities include monitoring shipments, negotiating costs, and communicating with various departments. Formación

  • Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.
  • 1+ years of experience in Transportation and Distribution required.
  • Strong proficiency in English – both oral and written is necessary.
  • Familiarity with TMS is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is expected.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

  • Interpret shipment information and gather additional data as needed.
  • Determine optimal equipment for shipment cost efficiency.
  • Negotiate prices with service providers.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and resolve exceptions as needed.
  • Communicate proactively with departments and customers.

Key responsibilities
  • Interpret information related to each shipment; gather additional information as needed
  • Determine optimal equipment for each shipment in relation to cost minimization and service requirements
  • Negotiate spot prices with service providers
  • Monitor daily each shipment in relation to required pickup and delivery date/time
  • Identify and resolve exceptions as they arise
  • Proactively communicate information to other departments and customers as needed
About you
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations or Business related field
  • 1+ years of experience in Transportation and Distribution
  • Strong proficiency in English – oral and written
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practice
