Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in international trade, international business, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in traffic, logistics, customs or international trade in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management position
• Demonstrated experience managing Mexico-U.S. import and export operations.
• Experience coordinating customs brokers, transportation providers, and logistics service providers.
• Experience with customs compliance, import/export documentation, inventory control, Annex 24, Annex 30, Apartado C administration, logistics cost management,
• Proven ability to manage operational risks, resolve transportations issues, and maintain material flow in manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience implementing and standardizing logistics, customs and foreign trade operating procedures in manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience standardizing processes and driving digital transformation initiatives, including automation and AI-based solutions, to improve productivity, operational control, and business performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site traffic transportation, import/export and customs operations.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican and US customs and international trade regulations.
• Monitor VAT credit and Annex 24 downloads.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of raw materials, components, equipment and finished goods.
• Coordinate with materials, purchasing, production, finance, external customs brokers, and transportation providers to improve efficiency.
• Drive logistics efficiency, risk management and continuous improvement.

Job description

Responsible for managing and overseeing the site's traffic transportation, import, export, and customs operations, ensuring compliance with applicable Mexican and US customs, and international trade regulations. Monitor the VAT credit, ensure the Annex 24 downloads are done properly and timely. Ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of raw materials, components, equipment and finished goods to support production. The position drives logistic efficiency, customs compliance, cost optimization, supplier performance, and continuous improvement while maintaining effective coordination with materials, purchasing, production, finance, external customs brokers, and transportation providers.

• Bachelor's degree in international Trade, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Additional training or certification in customs compliance, international logistics, or foreign trade is preferred.
• Minimum of 6-9 years of professional experience in traffic, logistics, customs or international trade, within a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
