Danfoss seeks a Trade Compliance Specialist in Reynosa to drive tariff and export control classifications, ensuring accurate HTS, Schedule B, ECCN, and related standards across our global operations. You will partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Supply Chain to ensure defensible decisions and timely compliance.

You’ll support brokers and internal teams, resolve discrepancies, and spearhead data quality improvements to strengthen regulatory readiness and reduce risk across markets.

Formación

• Experience in tariff classification and customs compliance.
• Understanding of HTS, Schedule B and ECCN classification frameworks.
• Ability to analyze technical product information for classification.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Lead tariff and export control classification activities, assigning HTS, Schedule B, NICO, and ECCN classifications.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Supply Chain to ensure defensible product classifications.
• Support customs compliance by guiding brokers and clarifying classification-related matters.
• Investigate and document classification discrepancies with suppliers, customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Continuously improve classification processes, data quality, and regulatory readiness.

Your expertise will help reduce regulatory risk, support customs compliance, and provide the critical trade data foundation needed for product origin determination and free trade agreement qualification.

You'll collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Customs Brokers, and Trade Compliance teams worldwide, taking ownership of classification processes that help us move toward a more compliant, efficient, and globally connected future.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead tariff and export control classification activities by assigning and maintaining HTS, Schedule B, NICO, and ECCN classifications in alignment with global standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Product Management, to ensure accurate and defensible product classification decisions.
• Support customs compliance activities by serving as a key contact for brokers and providing guidance on classification-related matters.
• Investigate, resolve, and document classification discrepancies with suppliers, customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Continuously improve classification processes, data quality, and compliance practices to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory readiness.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in tariff classification, customs compliance, international trade regulations, or a related Trade Compliance function.
• Strong understanding of HTS, Schedule B, ECCN, and other international product classification frameworks.
• Ability to interpret technical product information and apply classification methodologies in a compliant and business-focused manner.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global business environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with professional proficiency in English.
