Johnson Controls is seeking a Customs Compliance Specialist to execute daily import/export operations for the plant with a focus on compliance and accuracy. You will validate documents, coordinate with Customs Agent, and ensure proper tariff classification.

The role requires at least 2 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in SAP and Vastera. English proficiency and multitasking are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2 years related experience.

• Good command of English (80%).

Responsabilidades

• Execute daily Import and Export operations for the plant with focus on Customs Compliance.
• Coordinate with Customs Agent and warehouse operations.
• Validate and reconcile commercial documents and declarations.
• Prepare and validate customs documents and tariff classifications.
• Provide information from other departments for tariff classifications and permits.
• Track customs clearance from loading to arrival.
• Use Annex 24 system for declarations and uploads.
• Manage customs system and KPI reporting with agents.
• Review expense accounts.

What you will do:

Execute daily Import and Export operations for the assigned plant with a focus on Customs Compliance

How you will do it:

• Control the arrival of materials to the warehouse of the Customs Agent abroad
• Validation of commercial documents
• Reconciliation of arrived components vs. documents
• Preparation of customs documents
• Provide technical information obtained from other departments for the correct tariff classification of goods and/or request special import permits
• Point of contact between the Customs Agent and the service plant
• Follow-up of the customs clearance process, from loading, crossing, and arrival
• Validation of import and export declarations, as well as their reconciliation and upload into the Annex 24 system
• Management of the customs system (Annex 24)
• KPIs with Customs Agents
• Review of Expense Accounts
