AMETEK, Inc. seeks a Test Equipment Technician to support our manufacturing operations in Reynosa, Mexico.

The role focuses on maintaining and Troubleshooting test equipment and fixtures, analyzing defects, and ensuring consistent test results to uphold quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Formación

• 2–4 years of experience in a production test technician, product tester, or similar role.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with industry-specific testing equipment and software.
• Knowledge of maintenance and storage procedures for testing equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Good understanding of SPC, including GR&R and CpK.
• Availability to work rotating shifts.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on testing equipment and fixtures.
• Diagnose and redirect line faults to ensure minimal production downtime.
• Capture and analyze defect data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure testing equipment maintains repeatability and accuracy of readings.

• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and test results.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.

Job Description

Requirements

• Technical or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering is a plus.
• 2–4 years of experience in a production test technician, product tester, or similar role.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with industry‑specific testing equipment and software.
• Knowledge of maintenance and storage procedures for testing equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Good understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), including GR&R and CpK.
• Availability to work rotating shifts.
