AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a hands-on leader for daily production activities related to the assembly and integration of electromechanical products, providing technical guidance and support to production technicians.

You will ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity by coordinating work, resolving issues, and supporting continuous improvement within manufacturing. Responsibilities include leading start-up meetings, reading drawings and schematics, guiding technicians, training staff,

Formación

  • Technical degree in Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electromechanical assembly or manufacturing operations.
  • 1–2 years of leadership, training, or technical lead experience preferred.
  • Experience assembling industrial power systems, electrical cabinets, or similar equipment.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and coordinate daily production activities to achieve manufacturing schedules and goals.
  • Provide technical guidance to Production Technicians during assembly and integration processes.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and BOMs.
  • Assign tasks and priorities based on production requirements.
  • Monitor production flow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Train and certify new technicians on assembly processes and workmanship standards.
  • Verify compliance with assembly instructions, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Assist in resolving production issues, material shortages, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Support implementation of engineering changes, process improvements, and new product introductions.
  • Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and company procedures.
  • Lead daily start-up meetings and communicate production priorities.
  • Sserve as the primary technical point of contact for production technicians.
  • Mentor team members through coaching and hands-on training.
  • Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to supervisors.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a safety-focused culture.

Job Summary

Responsible for leading daily production activities related to the assembly and integration of electromechanical products while providing technical guidance and support to production technicians. This position ensures adherence to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives by coordinating work assignments, resolving assembly issues, training personnel, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing operation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate daily production activities to ensure achievement of manufacturing schedules and production goals.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Production Technicians during assembly and integration processes.
  • Perform electromechanical assembly of products, subassemblies, and systems according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Assign tasks and priorities based on production requirements.
  • Monitor production flow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Train and certify new technicians on assembly processes and workmanship standards.
  • Verify compliance with assembly instructions, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and BOMs.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of electromechanical assembly processes.
  • Experience with cable routing, crimping, wire termination, and harness installation.
  • Ability to lead, train, and develop production personnel.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of workmanship standards and quality requirements.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring devices.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
Education / Experience
  • Technical degree in Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electromechanical assembly or manufacturing operations.
  • 1–2 years of leadership, training, or technical lead experience preferred.
  • Experience assembling industrial power systems, electrical cabinets, or similar equipment.
