Job summary

Benchmark in Mexico is seeking a detail-oriented test equipment specialist to coordinate the installation and qualification of production test gear. You will develop or adapt test programs, work with cross-functional teams on corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

You will review engineering docs, support maintenance with calibration procedures, and help ensure process reliability and policy compliance across the site.

Job description

Responsibilities (Description of Activities):

• Coordinates the installation of production test equipment


• Performs test equipment qualifications and characterization


• Coordinates the installation of hardware and software updates as required


• Proposes ideas for custom tools and overall test process and equipment improvement


• Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities


• Assists in reviewing engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for testability


• Assists in developing product specific test programs


• Works with cross functional teams to address corrective actions


• Assists maintenance in developing preventative maintenance and calibration procedures


• Analyzes line return information to understand and drive corrective action on test process issues


• Compiles and follows all company policies and procedures


• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


• Accountable to perform all duties and tasks assigned and any other that may be required by the department or the organization


• Responsible to establish clear measurable objectives & goals in alignment with department and site KPI’s and the achievement of organizational goals


• Maintain compliance with all current and future certification that site needs for operations like ANSI ESD S20.20-2014, ISO 9001, AS9000, ISO 9000, ISO 14001, IPC, etc.
