Flex is seeking a Test Engineer to join our team in Flex, Aguascalientes. You will support Programming, MDA, Hi-POT, and FCT testing, ensuring products meet requirements and are reliable before release.

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, you will define repair methods, develop testing procedures, analyze failures, improve yield, and train line personnel to support continuous improvement in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Manufacturing or related field.
• Experience in Test engineering within electronics manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Programming, MDA, Hi-Pot, ICT, FCT and Vision inspection systems.
• Instrumentation experience with Oscilloscope, Multimeter, electronic loads and power analyzers.
• Understanding of IPC standards and high‑reliability product requirements.
• Experience in data analysis, yield improvement and root cause analysis.
• Experience in reworks of power components (MOSFET/IGBT, diodes, transformers/inductors).
• Ability to train and support technical and production personnel.
• Intermediate or advanced English.

Responsabilidades

• Directs and coordinates technical personnel in setup, development, and sustainment of repair/test processes.
• Define repair methods for different products and stages: Wave Solder ICT, SMT, Final Assembly.
• Develop and validate repair methods, temperature, documentation, and repair equipment configuration.
• Provide daily line support for tester issues, test stoppages, and limit adjustments.
• Analyze failures from MDA/ICT/Hi-Pot/FCT/Burn In/Vison and identify root causes.
• Analyze metrics like FPY and propose corrective/preventive actions.
• Continuously improve testing processes, cycle time, coverage, and fixture stability.
• Create and maintain work instructions and release reports; ensure IPC and customer requirements.
• Train testers and production staff; participate in production and quality meetings.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Test Engineer located in Flex, Aguascalientes.

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Test Engineer will be responsible for supporting Programming, MDA, Hi-POT, FCT testing focused on verifying and validating that a product, system or process works correctly, meets requirements and is reliable before being released.

What a typical day looks like:

• Directs and/or coordinates technical personnel in the setup, development, optimization, and sustainment of Repair Process.
• Define what type of Repair Methode applies depending on the product and stage: Wave Solder ICT, SMT process, Final Assy.
• Develop and validate: Repair Methode, Temperature, Documentation, configure repair equipment (Sierra Summit, JBC, HAKKO, ERSA).
• Provide daily support to the line when: There are failures in the tester, low occurs it produces, when there are test stoppages, adjust test limits to reduce: false failures, getaways
• Analyze failures coming from MDA/ICT/Hi-Pot/FCT/Burn In/Vison Identify root cause: Defective component, Assembly error (soldering, polarity, missing) Design or tolerance issues, use tools like: Schematics, Oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, Collaborate with: Process engineering, Design engineering Quality and customer
• Analyze key metrics such as: FPY (First Pass Yield), Performance per station, per rework, generate technical and trend reports, Propose corrective and preventive actions.
• Continuous improvement of the testing process, optimize cycle time, Test coverage, Fixture stability Implement test hardware or software improvements, Standardize good practices between lines or products, Support line transfers or new products (NPI).
• Documentation and control Create and maintain: Work instructions, Release reports, Ensure compliance with: IPC and customer requirements.
• Training and communication: Test technicians, Line operators, give clear technical feedback to other teams, Participate in production and quality meetings.
• Ensure the propperly repair for critical components: MOSFET, IGBT, Driver, Transformers, inductors AC/DC or DC/DC.
• Development and validation of Rework systems Design and validate: Rework benches, repair accessories, Specify and configure: Programmable devices rework.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience in Test engineering within electronics manufacturing environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of Programming, MDA, Hi-Pot, ICT, FCT, Vision inspection system and defect detection methodologies.
• Instrumentation experience: Oscilloscope (safe power measurements), multimeter programmable fonts, electronic loads (Desirable) Power analyzer
• Solid understanding of IPC standards and high-reliability product requirements.
• Experience in data analysis, yield improvement, and root cause analysis.
• Experience in reworks: AC/DC, DC/DC or Inverter Converters, Power components: MOSFET/IGBT, fast diodes, gate conductors, Transformers and inductors
• Ability to train and support technical and production personnel.
• Intermediate or advance English.
