Siemens Energy in Mexico is seeking a Technical Director for Market Application in Grid Consulting to lead high-impact advisory work on transmission planning, grid modernization, and new technology integration. You will guide customers through complex regulatory and technical decisions, with a focus on cross-border opportunities and strategic collaborations.

The role requires a Master’s in electrical power engineering, 10+ years in energy consulting or substation projects, and ~30% travel.

Formación

• Master’s degree in electrical power engineering; 10+ years in energy consulting or substation projects.
• Advanced knowledge of transmission planning and operational studies (100 kV–765 kV).
• Experience with ISO/utility processes and coordination with TSOs/DSOs.
• Proficiency in power electronics applications (HVDC, STATCOM, BESS) and renewable tech.
• Analytical and strategic mindset with strong communication/negotiation skills.
• Willing to travel ~30% domestically and internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Forge partnerships with government bodies and stakeholders to position Siemens Energy as a trusted grid consulting partner.
• Stay current with tech and market trends by attending conferences and meetings.
• Guide customers on benefits/risks of new technologies and entering new markets.
• Develop strategies enabling customers to navigate challenges and opportunities with new technologies.
• Assist customers in defining study scopes and concepts aligned with objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Review RFI/RFP documents and drive bid decisions with BD and sales teams, advising on pricing and contracts.
