Job Description & Skill Requirements
We are looking for a System Engineer with strong BMS and automotive system engineering experience to support battery management system requirements, system architecture, traceability, and functional safety activities.
Responsibilities:
- Define and manage system requirements based on customer requirements.
- Analyze requirements and work with technical teams to resolve requirement and design-related questions.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, validation, and cross-functional teams to assess requirement feasibility.
- Set up and manage projects and requirements using JAMA or DOORS NG.
- Establish and maintain bi-directional requirements traceability from customer/system requirements through software implementation and validation test cases.
- Conduct requirements peer reviews with software, hardware, validation, and safety teams.
- Analyze, prioritize, and define verification criteria for system requirements.
- Baseline requirements and support requirement change-control processes.
- Support system architecture design and development.
- Perform system and software architecture activities using EA, Rhapsody, or Cameo.
- Define and disseminate BMS requirements.
- Analyze requirements considering Functional Safety, ISO 26262, and product safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during system integration.
- Support compliance with ISO 26262, DFMEA, and PFMEA.
- Maintain requirements, architecture, design-change, and quality documentation.
