Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Monterrey, Mexico seeks a BMS Model-Based Development (MBD) Developer to design, simulate, and validate battery management control algorithms for automotive systems.

You will build and optimize MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow models, perform MIL/SIL validation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust integration with embedded software and calibration workflows.

Competenze

• 4+ years of automotive embedded software/BMS development required.
• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
• Experience with Model-Based Design (MBD) and MIL/SIL testing.
• C/C++ and embedded software development experience.
• Knowledge of CAN/CAN FD and automotive communications.
• Familiarity with ASPICE preferred.

We are seeking a BMS Model-Based Development (MBD) Developer to develop, simulate, and validate battery management control algorithms for automotive battery systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop BMS control algorithms using Model-Based Design.
• Create and maintain MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow models.
• Develop battery monitoring, estimation, diagnostics, and control functions.
• Perform MIL/SIL testing and model validation.
• Generate and analyze simulation results and troubleshoot model issues.
• Support auto-code generation and integration with embedded software.
• Work with cross-functional teams on requirements, testing, and software integration.
• Support calibration and optimization of BMS algorithms.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in automotive embedded software / BMS development.
• Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
• Experience with Model-Based Design (MBD) and MIL/SIL.
• Knowledge of BMS, battery systems, SOC/SOH estimation, diagnostics, or battery controls.
• Experience with C/C++ and embedded software development.
• Understanding of CAN/CAN FD and automotive communication.
• Experience with Simulink code generation / Embedded Coder.
• Familiarity with automotive development processes such as ASPICE is preferred.

Preferred

• Experience with Li-ion batteries / automotive energy storage systems.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR.
• Experience with dSPACE, CANoe/CANalyzer, or Vector tools.
• Experience with HIL testing and calibration.
• Electrical/Electronics, Controls, Mechatronics, or related engineering degree.
• Spanish and English communication skills preferred.
