Intel is seeking a Lab Technician in Guadalajara to enable engineering development by managing and maintaining the lab environment and equipment onsite for a fixed-term approximately 12 months.

You will deploy automated tests, triage issues, and modify hardware/software setups, while documenting procedures to ensure quality and repeatability of testing activities at the site in Mexico.

Formación

• Technician/Engineering degree or certification, or 1 year relevant experience.
• 1 year of HW and SW system support experience.
• Computer HW diagnose and repair experience.
• Computer SW diagnose and repair experience.
• Basic English level (Reading proficiency).
• Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (visa sponsorship not available).

Job Description

Enables engineering development efforts by managing and maintaining the lab environment. May include deployment of automated tests, triages, and root cause issues which have setup issues, removal or redeployment of tests needing software and/or hardware upgrades, and/or performing electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting to establish problems in nonfunctioning lab equipment. Designs and develops customized equipment, fixtures, and/or protocols to enable highly accurate execution of lab activities. Monitors tests and quality assurance of equipment and performs equipment modifications as directed. Develops technical documentation, including functional specifications and requirements, manufacturing test specifications, qualification test plans, product change notices, and standard operating procedures of equipment and processes. Drives logistics management and physical set up of prototype systems and peripheral devices, monitors inventory levels and restocks supplies, and maintains inventory reports and logs. Participates in the definition, selection, procurement, commissioning, and validation of equipment and instrumentation needed for testing. Ensures test results are recorded accurately and in adherence to established quality practices. Performs preventive maintenance and good laboratory housekeeping, establishes, maintains, and conducts routine testing of benches, testers, and other equipment.

This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities. It is a fixed-term opportunity lasting approximately 12 months

Minimum Qualifications

• Technician/Engineering degree or certification OR one year of relevant experience in lieu of the degree
• 1 year of experience in: HW and SW system support
• Computer HW diagnose and repair experience
• Computer SW diagnose and repair experience
• Basic English level (Reading proficiency)
• Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).

Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate in English communication. Written and Verbal proficiency.
• Experience in Compute system maintenance and repair
• HW and SW debug skills.
