Job summary

Siemens Energy in Mexico is seeking a hands-on Product Quality Excellence professional with Switchgear expertise to join the TQM Americas team. You will deploy Total Quality Management across switchgear factories in the Americas, improving FPY, NCC, and customer quality.

You will lead cross-functional troubleshooting, embed FMEA, control plans, and 8D, and act as technical authority for AIS/GIS quality topics.

Qualifications

• Experience in the engineering or manufacturing of Switchgear (AIS or GIS) including live-tank or dead-tank circuit breakers.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering, quality management, or a related technical field.
• Ability to learn and develop hands-on technical knowledge of medium- and high-voltage Switchgear equipment.
• Ability to interpret and challenge Switchgear engineering drawings, BOMs, specs, and instructions; translate requirements into shopfloor controls.
• Strong knowledge of critical-to-quality characteristics, inspection/test controls, traceability, workmanship standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in TQM, Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, 8D, statistical methods; cross-functional problem solving and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate quality risks across switchgear components and assemblies.
• Deploy TQM across Americas switchgear factories and maintain hands-on shopfloor presence.
• Embed FMEA, control plans, 8D and root-cause analysis as standard practices.
• Serve as technical authority for Switchgear quality topics with engineering teams.
• Lead cross-functional troubleshooting, containment, and corrective actions.
• Develop quarterly preventive improvement plans and digital quality dashboards.
