Job summary

You will shadow experienced Buyers, support supplier evaluation, and learn how overhead systems and lighting components impact vehicle programs across Ford's operations in Mexico. This is an on-site development role for students in engineering or business, with exposure to global procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with comfort in interpreting data and trends.
• Good written and verbal English communication, able to share ideas clearly.
• Curiosity about how things are made, how costs arise, and how supply chains function.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Shadow, support, and learn from Buyers and Supply Chain leaders.
• Assist in sourcing overhead systems and lighting components to hit target costs and timelines.
• Help build cost models, analyze part costs, and identify savings opportunities.
• Map sub-tier supply chains, track geopolitical trends, and diversify the supplier base.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Product Design to translate sketches into production.
