Job summary

Ford Motor Company Mexico invites energetic undergraduates to join the Supply Chain Champ program. You will shadow buyers and SCM leaders, learn strategic sourcing, cost analytics, and risk management while contributing to real-world projects in vehicle programs.

As a Champ, you will collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Product Design to understand cost drivers, mapping sub-tier supply chains and supporting supplier visits. English communication is required; eagerness to learn is essential.

Qualifications

• Active student from the last 2 semesters of a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial) or Business (Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics).
• Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization or cost-modeling concepts is desired.
• Curiosity and drive to understand how things are made, how much they cost, and how they move from design to production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Resilience with a proactive, problem-solving mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Shadow, support, and learn from experienced Buyers and Supply Chain leaders.
• Assist in sourcing overhead systems and lighting components to hit target costs, timelines, and quality.
• Dive into data to build part-cost breakdowns and should-cost models to identify savings opportunities.
• Map sub-tier supply chains and track geopolitical trends to diversify the supply base.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Product Design to translate sketches into finished products.
