Ford Champs in Mexico offers a 12-month program for students to gain insights into Purchasing. You will support the Purchasing Team with cost structure analyses, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize Ford spend.

Ideal candidates are active students in Engineering, International Business Administration, or Supply Chain with strong English and analytical skills, capable of working independently and in teams.

Formación

• Active student from any of the last 2 semesters Engineering, International Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field of study.
• 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening).
• Strong analytical skills (data driven) and ability to plan multiple tasks.
• Strong negotiation skills and willingness to learn negotiation tactics.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team, with multi-scenario analysis focus.

Responsabilidades

• Support Purchasing Team with supply base cost analysis and negotiations.
• Generate deep analyses for cost structure and savings opportunities.
• Contribute to supplier synergy and spend optimization.
• Assist with analysis of cost savings goals and end-to-end supply chain improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Finance & Suppliers.
• Analyze existing processes and identify improvements, large or small.

As a Purchasing Ford Champ, you will be responsible of supporting Purchasing Team, generating deep analysis for the Supply Base cost structure, negotiations with the Supply base, creating synergy to optimize the Ford spend.

Responsibilities

• One of your initial projects will be to support us in the analysis of the supply consolidation to leverage negotiations and productivities, reducing current complexity.
• Analyze cost savings goals annually to identify pure commercial leverage versus design efficiencies and end-to-end supply chain improvements
• Enhance analytical skills (Must be data driven and able to analyze multiple potential scenarios / business plans)
• Look at all existing processes and challenge if improvements can be made, regardless of scale
• Support Operational and Category Implementation Buyers on all sourcing, resourcing, banking, and operations activities
• Work with Product Development, Quality and Finance & Suppliers

Qualifications

• Active student from any of the last 2 semesters Engineering, International Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field of study
• 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening) Planning skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Strong analytical skills (Must be data driven and able to Planning skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities)
• Strong negotiation skills (creating leverage in both offensive and defensive situations) - or looking to learn about it
