Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Supplier Scheduler to manage a portfolio of items, ensuring timely purchasing to prevent stockouts and meet delivery dates. You will update replenishment parameters and maintain optimal inventories per DOH targets while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in purchasing, strong English, leadership, and the ability to work under pressure in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years in purchasing or similar role.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Experience in a manufacturing planning capacity.
• Ability to read MRP reports, stock status and variance reports.
• Knowledge running SAP queries and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze MRP demand and replenish stocks timely.
• Place purchase orders and expedit delivery per production program.
• Review open requirements and expediting or deferring as needed.
• Monitor vendor performance and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate delivery, pricing and invoicing issues to vendors promptly.
• Provide forecast to vendors according to schedule.
• Update purchasing parameters to maintain material availability and optimal stock.
• Participate in safety and safety audits as required.
• Support doH targets and inventory control objectives.

What will you do?

The Supplier Scheduler is assigned to a series of items. Is responsible for assuring that the requirements for these purchased items are filled in a proper time and that the material will meet the delivery date to minimize the risk of an inventory stock-out by reviewing the Follow Up on a timely manner. Is also responsible to update purchasing parameters to ensure parts are ordered on time according to the replenishment method, also to maintain minimal amounts of inventory to meet planned inventory levels according to the company DOH target.

How will you do it?

• Analyze MRP demand and replenish stocks timely.
• Place purchase orders and expedite delivery of materials to assure receipt in accordance with production program requirements.
• Review open requirements through the Follow Up or Open Order Report and expediting or defer when necessary.
• Monitor vendor performance through the OTD and assures proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve vendor development.
• Assure that problems relating to delivery, pricing and invoicing are promptly conveyed to the vendor and resolved in a timely manner per standard procedures to avoid material shortages.
• Provide forecast to the specify vendors according to schedule.
• Update purchasing parameters to ensure material availability and optimum stock levels.
• Implement Material related Projects.
• Resolve discrepancy problems in a timely manner.
• Comply with activities specified in JCI Safety Commitment Letter.
• Participate in Safety Subcommittees and Safety Audits as required.
