LIXIL Water Technology Americas busca un Ingeniero de Calidad de Proveedores para trabajar con equipos de Desarrollo de Nuevos Productos y proveedores globales, asegurando planes de validación y controles de calidad en la cadena de suministro.

El rol requiere habilidades analíticas, experiencia en mejoras de procesos y capacidad para presentar estatus de NPD en revisiones de gate, con enfoque en cumplimiento de estándares y reducción de no conformidades.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of the product development process and the role of quality and supply chain in new product launches.
  • Team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources;
  • experience working with others on a global basis is a plus - Analytical and problem solving skills
  • communicates in a clear and succinct manner; effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions
  • Change oriented – knowledge of process improvement tools; confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing objectives
  • Strong communications skills. Ability to present NPD status at Gate reviews is required.
  • Experience in Statistics and Minitab is a plus
  • ASQ Certification or equivalent, and Six Sigma Green Belt are a plus

Responsabilidades

  • Trabajar de cerca con equipos de Desarrollo de Nuevos Productos (NPD) para asegurar la prioridad de la calidad.
  • Asegurar que se completen planes de validación de diseño y sean efectivos.
  • Realizar análisis de causas raíz utilizando datos de garantía en productos lanzados.
  • Participar en FMEA con ingeniería para identificar riesgos y ayudar con mitigación y controles.
  • Dirigir las SCAR, SQN y acciones correctivas por parte de proveedores.
  • Emitir notificaciones de no conformidad a proveedores solicitando causa raíz y mejoras.
  • Lograr KPIs mensuales como cierres de SCAR e inventario rechazado por debajo de metas.
  • Auditar y calificar proveedores existentes y nuevos.
  • Liderar SPAP para proyectos NPD.
  • Asegurar planes de recepción/inspección para partes compradas y SPAP.
  • Apoyar QMS, seguridad y prácticas de producción.
  • Asistir a proveedores con requisitos, especificaciones y estándares de producción.
  • Apoyar certificaciones y procedimientos de saltos de lote según indicaciones.
  • Apoyar liberaciones de software de calidad (ETQ, Salesforce, SAP Ariba).
  • Desempeñar rol de líder o formador cuando corresponda; colaborar con expertos externos para mejorar calidad y confiabilidad.
  • Ayudar a desarrollar planes de muestreo estadístico e inspección.
  • El Ingeniero de Calidad de Proveedores juega un papel clave en asegurar que nuestros productos cumplen estándares; trabajará con desarrollo de producto y proveedores.

Responsibilities

The Supplier quality engineer will work closely with New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure quality is prioritized and complete.

Should Help to ensure design validation plans are completed and effective.

Drive root cause analysis using warranty data on all launched products.

Participate in failure modes effects analysis on all new products with engineering in order to identify risks and assist with the implementation of mitigation and control plans for these risks. Product/Process Nonconformance Continuous Improvement for all supplier related products, processes and projects. R Responsible for Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR’s), Supplier Quality Notifications (SQN’s) and ensure robust corrective actions have been implemented by suppliers. Issue notifications of product nonconformance to suppliers requesting root cause identification, corrective action definition and improvement action planning. Achieve monthly KPI’s such as SCAR closures and rejected inventory below established dollar targets.

Responsible for Audit and Qualification for all assigned existing and new suppliers.

Ensure robust plans are in place to have suppliers meet targets. Lead Supplier Production Approval Process (SPAP) for NPD projects.

Responsible to ensure all existing and new purchased parts have robust receiving inspection plans in place and complete SPAP.

Support and adhere to QMS, safety and production practices.

Assist suppliers with clear requirements, specifications and production standards.

Implement, maintain and increase Supplier Certifications and skip lots per instruction and guidelines.

Support Quality software releases such as Reliance ETQ, SalesForce and SAP Ariba.

Act as a lead or trainer where applicable. Review internal knowledge base and work with 3 rd party industry experts assisting with supplier development activities in order to increase quality, enhance reliability, and improve dependability.Assist suppliers with the development and implementation of statistical sampling plans and inspection procedures. The Engineer, Supplier Quality plays a key role in ensuring that our products meet quality standards. This role will work closely with the product development teams and suppliers to ensure we meet or exceed industry quality standards; address issues of supplier non-conformance and conduct supplier audits.

Qualifications
